MACHUPICCHU DAY 1.

Day 1: Cusco - Machu Picchu.

• This day we will pick you up fromany hotel,airbnb, hostel accordingto the train ticket time (to beconfirmed) and take you to thetrain station After a 4 hourjourney of majestic views youarrive to Aguas Calientes Townwhere you will spend the night.There will be plenty of time torelax if you want to have a hotbath in the natural springs.
• Things to do: Visit the MachuPicchu ‘Manuel Chávez Ballón’museum and orchid exhibition.This is open from 9am to 4.30pm and is a 35 minute walk down theroad to Puente Ruinas. It is a veryillustrative museum that gives aninteresting introduction to MachuPicchu. (It’s worth it!)You could goto the thermal baths – these cost 20 soles. There are lockers thatyou can use to store yourbelongings (1 sol).

MACHUPICCHU DAY 2.

Day 2:  Machu Picchu - Cusco.

• After breakfast, your guide will pickyou up from your hotel based onyour Machu Picchu ticket time. Youwill take the bus to the majesticMachu Picchu to catch the sunrise,followed by a 2-hour walking tourwith your guide. After the tour, youwill have time to explore the city onyour own.
• You will then meet your guide inAguas Calientes (which can bereached by bus or on foot) for lunchand to receive your train tickets backto Cusco. The included train is theExpedition (to Ollantaytambo),followed by a bus to Cusco. Ifdesired, an extra night in AguasCalientes can be arranged, allowingmore time to explore Machu Picchu.This option is quite popular.
